My husband retired here after serving in the Army.
Current pursuits in life & powerlifting:
I work as a Paramedic. I am entering my 11th year of lifting, hunting down a possible bench world record.
Lifting History:
When did you start weightlifting and what inspired you to start weightlifting?
In 2015 after deadlifting during a CrossFit work out. My coach told me I was really strong and asked if I had ever heard about Powerlifting. I trained for my first competition and have been hooked ever since.
When did you get involved with powerlifting and what got you interested in the sport?
2016 and initially I did it to be healthy and get stronger. BUT it turned into more of a healing journey for mental health as I navigated being a new paramedic. It has been how I have coped through various stages of life and my career. It has built me from the inside out and saved me a thousand times over.
Do you have a powerlifting nick name, if so what is it and how did you get it?
Supergirl, I do not recall how I got it.
